Presiden sementara Mesir, Adli Mansour, Kamis
(4/7/2013), mengajak Ikhwanul Muslimin untuk turut berpartisipasi dalam
kehidupan politik Mesir.
Ajakan ini disampaikan Mansour hanya
sehari setelah militer Mesir menggulingkan pendahulunya, Muhammad Mursi,
yang adalah tokoh Ikhwanul Muslimin.
Dalam pidatonya usai diambil sumpahnya, Adli Mansour berjanji
akan menjadikan demokrasi yang lebih adil dan tidak penuh dengan
kecurangan yang juga meliputi Ikhwanul Muslimin.
Ikhwanul Muslimin (IM) mengatakan tidak akan bekerja sama dengan hal yang disebut sebagai perampas kekuasaan.
Namun, organisasi itu menyerukan kepada para pendukungnya untuk tidak melakukan kekerasan bila mereka mengadakan protes.
Pemimpin gerakan tersebut, Mohammed Badie, dilaporkan telah
ditangkap di kota Marsa Matrouh. Ia adalah salah seorang pucuk pimpinan
Ikhwanul Muslimin yang ditangkap setelah Mursi dilengserkan.
Korban tewas
Pihak berwenang telah mengeluarkan perintah penangkapan bagi
lebih dari 200 anggota lainnya. Mursi sendiri masih dikenai tahanan
rumah.
Seorang wartawan di Kairo, Musthafa Abdul Rahman, melaporkan,
sejauh ini militer belum memberikan alasan di balik penahanan mantan
Presiden Muhammad Mursi.
"Militer tidak menyampaikan alasannya, yang jelas setelah
pengumuman pelengseran tadi malam itu, langsung ada aksi penahanan
pimpinan-pimpinan IM," ujarnya.
Mursi menegaskan pelengserannya adalah kudeta militer.
Angkatan bersenjata mengatakan, Mursi "gagal memenuhi tuntutan rakyat".
Pergantian kekuasaan di Mesir terjadi setelah unjuk rasa massal
selama berhari-hari menentang Mursi dan Ikhwanul Muslimin. Mereka
menuduh Mursi mengusung agenda berhaluan Islam dan gagal mengatasi
masalah ekonomi.
Kementerian Kesehatan mengatakan, sedikitnya 10 orang tewas dan
puluhan orang mengalami luka-luka dalam bentrokan di sejumlah lokasi
Rabu (3/7/2013) malam.
