Pemerintah Turki, Kamis (4/7/2013), mengatakan intervensi militer Mesir
yang menyebabkan tergulingnya Muhammad Mursi dari jabatannya tidak
merefleksikan keinginan rakyat dan menyerukan agar Mesir kembali ke
demokrasi.
Partai Keadilan dan Pembangunan (AKP) yang berkuasa di
Mesir, yang baru saja mengalami beratnya menghadapi protes warga,
memiliki hubungan yang relatif baik dengan Muhammad Mursi dan Ikhwanul
Muslimin.
"Pergantian kekuasaan di Mesir bukan merupakan
keinginan rakyat. Pergantian kekuasaan di Mesir tidak sesuai dengan
demokrasi dan undang-undang," kata Wakil PM Turki, Bekir Bozdag di
Ankara.
"Di semua negara demokratis, satu-satunya jalan menuju kekuasaan adalah lewat pemilihan umum," tambah Bozdag.
Bozdag menambahkan, bagi yang mempercayai demokrasi seharusnya menentang perubahan kekuasaan yang terjadi di Mesir.
"Situasi yang tak bisa diterima masyarakat yang demokratis telah muncul di Mesir," ujar Bozdag.
"Kami berharap Mesir kembali ke demokrasi sehingga keinginan rakyat bisa kembali ditegakkan," Bozdag menegaskan.
Sementara
itu, Menteri Luar Negeri Turki Ahmet Davotoglu di Istanbul menyatakan
disingkirkannya seorang pemimpin yang terpilih secara demokratis melalui
cara yang ilegal, sangat tidak bisa diterima.
"Intervensi (militer) ini seharusnya tidak menutupi hasil yang diperoleh rakyat Mesir dari revolusi 25 Januari," ujar Davutoglu.
Davutoglu juga menyerukan agar Mesir segera membebaskan para pemimpin politik yang kini ditahan.
Aparat
keamanan Mesir sudah mulai menangkapi tokoh-tokoh utama Ikhwanul
Muslimin, dan media pemerintah Mesir menyebut 300 surat perintah
penangkapan sudah diterbitkan.
