Keputusan pemerintah Mesir untuk memberikan mandat pasukan keamanan
mengakhiri semua aksi duduk untuk mendukung Presiden yang digulingkan,
Mohamed Mursi, telah mendapat kecaman dari kelompok Islam Internasional
dan hak asasi manusia internasional dan menyebutnya bisa memicu
'bencana' di Mesir.
"Memberikan pasukan keamanan Mesir untuk
mengakhiri demonstrasi dengan penggunaan kekuatan mematikan yang
berlebihan dan tidak beralasan, pengumuman terbaru ini memberikan
stempel untuk persetujuan penyalahgunaan kekuatan lebih lanjut" Hassiba
Hadj Sahraoui, Wakil Direktur untuk Timur Tengah dan Afrika Utara
Amnesty International, mengatakan dalam siaran pers di website
Amnesty, demikian lansir

"Pihak
berwenang serta aparat keamanan harus mulai dengan pendekatan yang
menghindari penggunaan kekuatan dan didasarkan pada 'metode persuasi,
negosiasi dan mediasi', seperti yang direkomendasikan oleh standar
internasional."
Dalam sebuah pernyataan yang disiarkan televisi
pada Rabu, pemerintah sementara Mesir mengatakan pendukung pro-Mursi
sekarang dianggap sebagai "ancaman bagi keamanan nasional". Pemerintah
memerintahkan Kementerian Dalam Negeri untuk mengambil langkah-langkah
"mengatasi bahaya ini dan mengakhiri mereka," tapi tidak memberikan
batas waktu.
Sebuah langkah terhadap demonstran damai bisa
membawa babak baru pertumpahan darah setelah pasukan keamanan menembak
mati lebih dari 80 pengikut Ikhwanul saat fajar pada hari Sabtu dan
membuat Mesir semakin kacau.
"Pasukan keamanan tidak harus
beralih ke penggunaan senjata api kecuali ada ancaman kematian atau
cedera serius," kata Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui.
"Keputusan untuk membubarkan demo harus diambil sebagai pilihan terakhir."
Di
tengah kekhawatiran kekerasan baru, sebuah kelompok Muslim di Amerika
Utara telah mengutuk kekerasan terhadap demonstran yang melakukan aksi
damai.
"Masyarakat Islam Amerika Utara (ISNA) sangat terganggu
oleh pembunuhan demonstran oleh pasukan keamanan di Mesir," kata ISNA
dalam sebuah pernyataan yang diperoleh
OnIslam.net.
"Kami
menentang terhadap pelanggaran hak asasi manusia warga negara yang
menggunakan hak mereka sebagai warga negara untuk memprotes, dan
mengekspresikan perbedaan pendapat mereka dengan damai dalam masalah
ini.
Dewan Hubungan Amerika-Islam (CAIR) juga telah mengeluarkan
pernyataan awal pekan ini mengutuk kekerasan terhadap pendukung Mesir
Mursi.
