Revolusi Saudi Kian Dekat!

Times – Ahmed menunjuk tujuh dekade pemerintahan tirani oleh dinasti
Al-Saud dan mencatat bahwa masalah di Saudi bukan hanya banyaknya
tahanan politik. Tapi tingkat pengangguran, tingkat kemiskinan yang
tinggi dan tingkat korupsi yang sangat tinggi di negri itu.
Direktur Institute for [Persia] Gulf Affairs (IGA) mengatakan pada Press
TV bahwa perkembangan yang sedang berlangsung di seluruh Arab Saudi
telah memberi sinyal kemunculan sebuah revolusi dalam waktu dekat ini.
"Semua
faktor-faktor revolusi ada di Arab Saudi. Jadi tidak ada yang dapat
menghentikan protes terhadap pemerintah di Arab Saudi, "kata Ali
al-Ahmed dalam wawancara hari Selasa (19/3/13) dengan Press TV.
"Kita
akan melihat gerakan nasional atau paling tidak demo nasional di negara
itu, dalam beberapa bulan ke depan. Mungkin minggu depan," tambahnya.
Ahmed

Direktur IGA itu
menunjuk taktik khas Riyadh untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari peristiwa
yang tengah berlangsung di seluruh kerajaan. Menurutnya, pemerintah akan
menghentikan gerakan demo dengan segala macam isu dan skenario.
Selama
dua hari terakhir ini, pasukan Saudi menyerbu rumah-rumah dan
kantor-kantor di seluruh Riyadh, Provinsi Timur, Mekkah dan Jeddah serta
menahan sejumlah ulama terkemuka, dokter, dosen, mahasiswa, dan pekerja
sipil.
Tanggal 1 Maret lalu, pasukan keamanan Saudi menangkap
lebih dari 300 demonstran, termasuk 15 wanita, saat mereka berkumpul di
luar biro penyidikan di Buraidah menuntut pembebasan para tahanan
politik.
Sejak Februari 2011, para demonstran mengadakan aksi
demo anti-rezim secara rutin di Arab Saudi, terutama di wilayah Qatif
dan kota Awamiyah di Provinsi Timur. Mereka menyerukan pembebasan semua
tahanan politik, menuntut kebebasan berekspresi dan berkumpul serta
diakhirinya diskriminasi. [IT/r]
