SEBUAH masjid di ibukota Swedia Kamis kemarin (11/4/2013) telah
mendapat lampu hijau untuk bisa mengumandangkan adzan. Langkah ini tentu
saja membuat gembira komunitas Muslim yang ada di negara Skandinavia
tersebut.
“Saya senang, sangat senang,” kata Ismail Okur, ketua Pusat Kebudayaan Islam Botkyrka, kepada Sveriges Radio (SR).
“Ini berarti sebuah persetujuan yang besar bagi masyarakat kami dan agama kami serta bagi penyelenggaraan ibadah shalat.”
Polisi
mengatakan hari Kamis kemarin bahwa masjid Fittja di pinggiran selatan
Stockholm Botkyrka akan diizinkan untuk mengumandangkan Adzan pada hari
Jumat.
Izin ini memungkinkan umat Islam untuk mengumandangkan adzan dengan durasi selama tiga sampai lima menit pada hari Jumat.
Langkah
itu diambil sebagai tanggapan atas permintaan yang dilakukan oleh umat
Islam agar mereka bisa mengumandangkan adzan di masjid Fittja, tempat
ibadah Muslim satu-satunya yang memiliki menara di Swedia.
Polisi mengatakan peraturan ketat akan mengatur penempatan speaker untuk suara Adzan tersebut.
Informasi juga harus diberikan kepada penduduk terdekat sebelum suara adzan dikumandangkan, pihak kepolisian mengatakan.
Namun belum ada tanggal yang ditetapkan untuk kumandang Adzan pertama di masjid Fittja.
