PEMERINTAH menggeber proyek pembangkit listrik Tenaga Panas Bumi
(PLTP) Sarulla 3X110 Mega watt (Mw). Bahkan groundbreaking ditargetkan
rampung sebelum kabinet bubar.Pembangunan proyek yang terletak di
Sumatera Utara tersebut menelan investasi USD1,5 miliar.
Pembangunan
dipimpin PT Medco Power Indonesia dengan konsorsium perusahaan
multinasional Itochu, Kyushu dan Ormat.Nah, usut punya usut, Ormat
rupanya perusahaan asal negara Zionis Israel. Ormat didirikan pada tahun
1965 di Yavne, Israel, oleh Lucien Bronicki.Telusuran Aktual.co, Ormat Industries merupakan penyedia teknologi energi alternatif dan

Awalnya
Ormat hanya pemasok peralatan pembangkit listrik. Namun pada 1990-an
perusahaan mengubah strategi dan memutuskan untuk tidak hanya untuk
menyediakan peralatan pembangkit listrik, tetapi juga untuk memiliki dan
mengelola stasiun energi listrik alternatif dan terbarukan.
Pada tahun 1991 Industri Ormat terdaftar di Tel Aviv Stock Exchange dan saat ini termasuk dalam Indeks TA-25.
Dikutip
dari situs resmi Ormat, Kamis (11/4), partisipasi Ormat dalam proyek
Sarulla memasok Converters Energy untuk pembangkit listrik. Selain itu,
Ormat, melalui anak perusahaannya Ormat International Inc, memegang
kepemilikan saham 12,75% di Sarulla.
Ormat berharap bisa meraup USD254.000.000 terkait dengan penjualan peralatan selama masa konstruksi Sarulla.
Ormat
mengklaim, teknologi mereka memungkinkan reinjeksi hampir 100% dari
fluida panas bumi kembali ke dalam reservoir, menjaga kesinambungan daya
sumber daya panas bumi sehingga meningkatkan dan mengurangi efek
negatif dari gas.
Dita Bronicki, Chief Executive Officer Ormat,
mengaku senang dengan proyek Sarulla. “Proyek ini, merupakan kali
pertama kami masuk ke Indonesia,” kata Dita.
Wakil Presiden
Boediono di Jakarta, Kamis (11/4) mengatakan, proyek Sarulla yang sempat
dihentikan di tahun 1997 karena krisis ini, mulai berjalan lagi sejak
tahun 2003, namun sering mengalami bottleneck.
“Proses “debottlenecking” PLTP Sarulla ini langsung saya kawal sendiri,” kata Boediono.
Ia
menjelaskan, dimulai dengan renegosiasi tarif listrik yang ditetapkan
oleh Menteri ESDM, berlanjut dengan pembahasan amandemen ESC/JOC antara
konsorsium SOL dengan dua BUMN – PLN dan Pertamina – yang dikawal oleh
Menteri BUMN, hingga sampai terbitnya SJKU yang diatur oleh Peraturan
Menteri Keuangan.
Salah satu milestone kunci dalam debottlenecking
geothermal ini adalah terbitnya Peraturan Bersama (Perber) Menteri
ESDM, Menteri Keuangan dan Menteri BUMN tentang status kepemilikan aset
panas bumi yang berasal dari kontrak operasi bersama (JOC). (Pz/Islampos/Aktual)
