Berulangkali pemilihan kepala daerah (pilkada) berujung kerusuhan saat
pihak yang kalah tak bisa menerima hasil perhitungan suara, seperti yang
terjadi di Palopo. Mendagri Gamawan Fauzi mewacanakan untuk melakukan pilkada secara tidak langsung.
Menanggapi
hal itu, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) menolak dan menyatakan, usulan
pilkada tidak langsung sangat bertentangan dengan kehidupan
berdemokrasi di Indonesia.
"Jangan halangi kedaulatan rakyat," kata Ketua Fraksi PKS Hidayat Nur Wahid di Kompleks Parlemen, Jakarta, Selasa (2/3).
Hidayat
mengatakan, sejumlah kerusuhan yang terjadi di beberapa daerah terkait
pilkada tidak sepenuhnya kesalahan rakyat. Tetapi, kata dia, peran
pemerintah juga sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengantisipasi adanya kricuhan
dalam pilkada.
"Setiap kerusuhan itu ada andil pemerintah lewat
aparat keamanan terkait. Aparat keamanan kita ke mana? Intelijen kita ke
mana," tegas dia.
Kerusuhan yang terjadi pasca pilkada, kata
Hidayat, tidak sebanding dengan jumlah pelaksanaan pilkada. Menurutnya,
persentase kerusuhan pilkada dengan pelaksanaan Pilkada tak lebih dari
10 persen.
"Artinya masih lebih banyak pilkada langsung yang
berhasil dan tidak mengakibatkan kerusuhan. Jangan rakyat disalahkan,"
cetus mantan Ketua MPR ini.
Hidayat menyatakan, pemerintah harus
pro-aktif memberikan pendidikan politik yang benar kepada rakyat. Para
kandidat kepala daerah, lanjut Hidayat, juga diimbau untuk tidak
mengeluarkan pernyataan yang bernada provokatif kepada para pendukung.
"Selain
itu KPU selaku penyelenggara pemilu juga mesti bersikap adil dan tidak
memihak. Yang tak kalah penting," tandas mantan cagub DKI Jakarta ini.
