Serikat (AS) dan Iran tak hanya berdampak pada kedua pemerintahan namun
juga bagi kelanjutan bisnis pengusaha dari negeri Timur Tengah tersebut.
Belum lama ini, Kementerian Keuangan AS memasukan nama
pengusaha dan eksekutif bisnis berpengaruh Iran dalam daftar hitam.
Kesalahannya, menjual minyak ditengah sanksi ekonomi yang dijatuhkan
kepada Iran.
Dikutip dari laman
New York Times, Jumat
(12/4/2013), pengusaha bernama Babak Morteza Zanjani diduga telah
berkonspirasi dengan bank Malaysia, First Islamic Investment Bank dalam,
apa yang diklaim pemerintah AS, sebagai "pengalihan miliaran dolar AS
atas nama rezim pemerintah."
Sanksi ini dikeluarkan beberapa hari
setelah upaya diplomatik dengan Iran dalam uapay membahas masalah
program nuklir tak menunjukan adanya perkembangan.
Tindakan
pemerintah Barrack Obama ini merupakan yang kedua kalinya dilakukan
terhadap pelanggaran sanksi Iran dalam kurang dari satu bulan.
Pada
14 Maret, Kementerian Keuangan AS telah mencekal pengusaha pengapalan
Yunani, Dimitris Cambis, yang dituduh menjalankan skema pembelian kapal
tanker Iran serta menyembunyikan pengapalan minyak dari Iran.
"Seiring
makin meningkatnya sanksi internasional, Iran telah melakukan teknik
pencucian uang dengan menjual minyak dan uang menggunakan nama palsu dan
beragam alasan," kata pejabat Kementerian Keuangan AS, David S Cohen
