JAKARTA -- Pemerintah melalui Menteri Agama Suryadharma Ali menetapkan
awal Syawal jatuh pada 8 Agustus 2013 setelah seluruh peserta Sidang
Isbat, yang berlangsung sejak Rabu (7/8) siang, menyepakati keputusan
tersebut.
Keputusan ini diambil berdasarkan masukan dari sejumlah
Organisasi Kemasyarakatan (ormas) Islam yang ikut dalam sidang
tersebut. Sidang berlangsung di Gedung Kementerian Agama, Jalan MH
Thamrin, mendapat perhatian dari kalangan media massa dan sejumlah
pemerhati astronomi.
Sidang Isbat sekali ini memang agak berbeda
dengan tahun-tahun lalu. Sebab, Menteri Suryadharma Ali ikut terlibat
langsung proses penetapan 1 Syawal 1434 H dengan mendengarkan langsung
pendapat kalangan pakar astronomi dari Lapan dan dari negara tetangga
seperti Singapura, Malaysia dan Brunei Darussalam.
"Jadi,
keputusan hasil sidang isbat ini didasari setelah mendengarkan langsung
pemikiran dan pendapat dari para pakar, bukan monopoli Menteri Agama,"
kata Suryadharma Ali.
Ia menjelaskan, setelah mendengarkan
langsung laporan dari Direktur Agama Islam dan Pembinaan Syariah Mochtar
Ali, posisi hilal sudah di atas dua derajat lebih. Maka, para peserta
menyepakati bahwa 1 Syawal jatuh pada 8 Agustus 2013.
Dijelaskan
pula bahwa tidak ada rekayasa keputusan hasil sidang ini monopoli
Menteri Agama. Ini merupakan hasil kebersamaan dari semua ormas Islam.
Semua dilakukan dengan transparan, terbuka dan tidak ada rekayasa. Jika
ada rekayasa, dalam rapat yang dihadiri para ulama itu, tentu betapa
hebatnya Menteri Agama," katanya.
Dalam sidang yang dihadiri
sejumlah pejabat Kemenag, termasuk Wamenag Nasaruddin Umar dan Dirjen
Bimas Islam Abdul Djamil itu, usai sidang seluruh peserta membaca
takbir, sebagai tanda lebaran tiba.
