KAIRO -- Komunitas Uni Eropa mencoba ambil kursi di ruang mediasi
politik banyak faksi di Mesir. Setelah Kepala Kebijakan Luar Negeri Uni
Eropa Catherine Ashton berhasil menemui Presiden Mesir - terguling -
Muhammad Mursi, kali ini Menteri Luar Negeri Jerman Guido Westerwelle
mengikuti langkah serupa.
Egypt Independent, Kamis (1/8)
mengabarkan Otoritas Sementara di Ibu Kota Kairo telah menerima kawat
diplomatik atas rencana kunjungan tersebut. Belum ada kabar kepastian
kunjungan di tempat yang dirahasiakan itu kapan akan dilakukan. Namun
dikatakan, Presiden interim Mesir, Adli Mansour menyetujui permintaan
tersebut.

Rabu (31/7), Mansour mengatakan Otoritas Sementara akan menyetujui
setiap permintaan kunjungan dari negera-negara sahabat. Pernyataan itu
menyusul permintaan dari Uni Eropa dan Uni Afrika.
Sejak ditahan
ditempat yang tak diketahui, pada Rabu (3/7) lalu, Mursi telah bertemu
dengan dua rombongan delegasi internasional. Namun, Otoritas Sementara
belum mengeluarkan izin untuk Koalisi Organisasi HAM Non-Pemerintah di
Mesir, Arab, Eropa dan Afrika untuk bertemu dengan presiden sokongan
Ikhwanul Muslimin tersebut.
Sementara itu, Amerika Serikat (AS)
juga mengutus Senator John McCain dan Lindsay Graham untuk terbang ke
Mesir, pekan ini. Tapi belum tersiar adanya agenda khusus perjumpaan
dengan Mursi.
