KAIRO -- Ikhwanul Muslimin terus mendesak pembebasan presiden
terguling, Muhammad Mursi. Desakan tersebut tetap dilakukan meski
Amerika Serikat (AS) menyatakan masih adanya solusi damai terhadap krisi
politik Mesir.
Wakil Menteri Luar Negeri AS, William Burns bertemu dengan Partai
Kebebasan dan Keadilan, sayap politik Ikhwanul Muslimin pada Sabtu
(3/8). Pendukung Mursi menegaskan setiap resolusi untuk krisis harus
menyertakan pemulihan pemerintahan Mursi.
Partai tersebut menerbitkan pernyataan yang mengatakan posisi mereka
tidak berubah. Mereka menegaskan legitimasi yang mengembalikan presiden,
konstitusi, dan majelis syura.
Menteri Pertahanan AS, Chuck Hagel menghubungi kepala militer
Jenderal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi dari Washington untuk mendesak dia untuk
mendukung proses politik inklusif. Sementara, Jenderal al-Sisi meminta
AS untuk menekan pendukung Mursi mengakhiri protes.
Dalam laporan Al-Arabiya, Ahad (4/8), Mursi resmi ditahan dengan
dakwaan pelanggaran yang dilakukan pada 2011 ketika dia kabur dari
penjara selama pemberontakan yang menggulingkan mantan Presiden Hosni
Mubarak.
Para pemimpin Islamin menolak pembicaraan dengan investigator. Di
sisi lain, Kementrian Dalam Negeri Mesir telah meminta demonstran
pro-Mursi untuk membubarkan diri dan berpartisipasi dalam transisi
politik. Namun, para pendukung Mursi menolak ajakan dari pemerintah
Mesir.
